Help Unclogging a Toliet!?!?

Lift the lid off the top part where all the mechanical stuff is. Flush and lift/pull other **** as well till the water just stays up (not drained). Once the water stays up just plunge away. I am not a plumber but I recently unplugged the toughest clogged toilet to date. I felt like a champ once I got it to work again.
