URGENT! How to unclog toilet!!?

I'm 15 years old, home alone right now. I cleaned my dog's crap with paper towels and put it in the toilet. I flushed it and it went down but never finished flushing. The water kept coming into the toilet and stopped. I used a toilet plunger which made the water in the toilet go down. So I flushed it again and water filled my toilet bowl and almost overflowed so I hurried and shut off the water for the toilet. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!! Im afraid the paper towels will hurt the motor for my septic tank too. HELP!!!!!
