Can he take me off the lease?

My fiance and I have been renting a place, a condo to be exact. Both of our names were on the lease. We got into an argument and I left to cool off. I go the next day to get my things and the locks were changed. So I asked him to give me my key cause my name was on the lease. He did not do so. So I went directly to Coldwell Banker, where he and I signed the lease, so I can get a key. They then proceeded to tell me that he signed something to take my name off the lease. Is that legal? We were both on the lease. I reside in Florida.
